Based on the programme entitled “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, Hungary needs to revise and redefine what needs to be done in the fields of sustainable development and participation in international cooperation in this context. At the international and national levels alike, the relevant goals may only be defined and reached through effective cooperation between government agencies and non-governmental organizations. In this spirit, the National Society of Conservationists – Friends of the Earth Hungary and HAND Association of NGOs for Development and Humanitarian Aid initiated dialogue among Hungarian NGOs working on these issues with a view to draft preliminary proposals to guide domestic implementation following the formal adoption of the international programme.
